David Ingram, MSW, LICSW
Mental Health Therapist

David Ingram – known fondly by some as the “Pie Man” because of his talent for baking – thinks he has the best job at Odessa Brown.

The love and support of this Ohio native’s family influenced him to extend support to families who come into OBCC.

“Both my mother and father were concerned about justice, equality and being kind to others. The golden rule, ‘treat others as you want to be treated’ was very big in my house.”

David completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, before earning his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Washington. He received his license in clinical social work in 2000.

He worked at the YMCA and Catholic Community Services, as a case manager, mental health therapist and foster care social worker, before joining OBCC in 1998.

As an avid baker, David appreciates the great food at OBCC. “This place knows how to celebrate any occasion.” In addition to liking the food, he has the greatest respect and affection for his co-workers.

David loves spending time with his wife and two sons, as well as playing sports and enjoying the outdoors.

“I get to sit with families for an hour, weekly if I’m lucky, and hear their stories and perceptions and help them solve their problems. Relying on their strengths and assets and how they want to approach those problems, we can find out what works for them and tailor a plan to make their lives better.”
